Stone Island Marina nautical Swim Shorts from the SS96 collection. Stone Island founder Massimo Osti launched the Marina line in 1983 out of a deep personal passion for sailing and life at sea. He took design details straight from practical marine gear, like technical fabrications, protective closures and utilitarian layouts. The distinct, slightly washed-out coral red tone is inspired by sailor's oilskins and canvas gear that have been naturally faded by prolonged exposure to the sun and salt water. Osti achieved this by putting the pieces under an advanced garment dying technique.
