Stone Island Formula Steel Jacket from the AW95 collection. The idea was created by Osti himself, essentially to create a fabric with the visual character of metal, but the weight and movement of nylon. Formula Steel used a nylon shell bonded to a transparent polyurethane film, then exploited Stone Island’s dyeing/finishing know-how to produce that strange shimmering, steel-like surface. Paul Harvey continued to design formula one jackets, through an urban lens.
