Stone Island Formula Steel Long Jacket from the AW95. Another iconic colour way of the formula steel jackets created in this era. The idea was essentially to create a fabric with the visual character of metal, but the weight and movement of nylon. Formula Steel used a nylon shell bonded to a transparent polyurethane film, then exploited Stone Island’s dyeing/finishing know-how to produce that strange shimmering, steel-like surface.
