Stone Island Hooded Field Parka from the AW2005 collection. The basic concept comes from post-war field jackets and hooded combat parkas: a roomy outer layer that can be pulled over other clothing, tightened at the waist and closed high around the neck in poor weather. Harvey stripped back the military idea, rather than lots of cargo pockets across the jacket, Harvey wanted a more simple silhouette for the hooded field parka. Decades of wear have created a striking black to brown patina across the fabric, giving this a unique archival appearance.
