Nigel Cabourn Cricket Club US4 Flight Jacket from early1980s - Japanese release. It was during this time that Cabourn began to use military inspiration in his designs. A very experimental time for the brand with Cabourn using inspiration from all over the world on his travels & this can be seen in his designs. This was probably the most significant piece in Cabourn brands history - In Nige's words, 'These were the jackets that catapulted the brand'. Over 250,000 of these were sold worldwide in the 80s, orders came in from retailers all the world, all over the globe wanted them - Japan, US, Europe. Inspiration came from US air force flight jackets from 1950s - lots of military inspired details and a super cool silhouette that wouldn't look out of place if it were designed today, as is often the case with Cabourn's early designs, he was well ahead of his time. A true Cabourn collectors piece.
