Nigel Cabourn Authentic Stripped Wool Rollneck

Nigel Cabourn Authentic Stripped Wool Rollneck from AW16 collection. The design is based on the heavy-duty roll neck sweaters worn by Royal Navy submariners and Naval convoy protection crews during World War II.  The specific striped design was a tribute to George Lowe, who was one of the members of the original Trans Antarctic expedition. Lowe famously wore a similarly striped orange and ecru roll neck during the 1955-1958 Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition. Very limited run of these were made so they have become very sought after to Cabourn collectors.
