Nigel Cabourn Authentic Irvine Park Suit Jacket from the 100th anniversary collection celebrating the 1924 British Everest Expedition. inspired by the legendary mountaineer George Mallory. While the more famous Mallory Jacket is a three-button tweed design, this 8-button double-breasted version is inspired by the tailored civilian suits that Mallory and his team - Andrew ‘Sandy’ Irvine wore during the early 1920s. It is made from a heavy navy chalk stripe flannel provided by the historic Fox Brothers and Co, the original creator of flannel in the 1770’s. A legendary West of England Mill known for its high quality wool flannel.
