Nigel Cabourn 1980s Wool Blanket Jacket from the mid 1980s. This period was probably one of the most significant in it's history, the brand was started to become recognised across the world, he was selling out at trade shows to retailers all over. It was his approach to design that really stood out at a time when every other brand seemed to be following trends, he was creating them. It was his creative approach to the use colours & specifically camouflage that he started to become well known for during this period, this be seen in this piece. One of Cabourn's signature pieces is his blanket jackets, this particularly jacket was made by an Italian textile specialise, Lyria who are renowned in the industry as being the best wool fabric makers in the world. These original blanket jackets are incredibly sought after due to the small production runs, this particular jacket was limited to 100.
