Nigel Cabourn 'Cricket Club' 1980s Japanese release US4 flight jacket. In Nige's word, 'these were the jackets that launched by brand. Over 250,000 of these were sold worldwide in the 80s. Inspiration came from US air force flight jackets from 1950s - lots of military inspired details and a super cool silhouette that wouldn't look out of place if it were designed today, as is often the case with Cabourn's early designs, he was well ahead of his time.
