Adidas Originals Striped Shorts from the mid 80’s. Manufactured in West Germany, this alone shows the history behind these shorts and how far the iconic brand Adidas falls back too. During the mid-to-late 1970s, running transitioned from a specialised competitive sport into a massive global fitness craze. Legendary runners like Steve Prefontaine popularised the use of ultra-short, high-cut split shorts. The brief cut was engineered strictly for maximum stride freedom, range of motion, and keeping the body as cool as possible during high-intensity track workouts.
- Made from 100% Polyamide with 100% cotton inner lining
- Elasticated waist with internal drawstring
- Red 3 stripes on both side of shorts with prominent red stripes across shorts
- Small patch pocket on back right of shorts
- Slightly curved cut with side slits for more movement
- Made in West Germany
- Condition rating 3/5 - good vintage condition. General wear and some small nicks to fabric but does not effect the wear of the shorts
