Maison Mihara Yasuhiro x Nigel Cabourn Low Cut Overdyed Sneakers from the AW21 collection. This highly sought after collab was a deliberate rebellion against the fast fashion & generic factory line sneaker manufacturing. During this era, the fast fashion sneaker culture was at an all time high. But, unlike standard mass-produced sneakers that are simply glued together, this sneaker utilises a traditional shoe-making technique called Opanka construction. The canvas upper , interior lining and chunky rubber sole are stitched entirely through using a double-needle process.  The design perfectly highlights the blend of both designers. It features Cabourn’s signature military & utilitarian influence with raw-edged, double-stitched canvas, paired with Mihara Yasuhiro's iconic, avant-garde melted clay-molded rubber sole.
