Stone Island Formula Steel Shimmer Jacket from the SS96 collection. Another Paul Harvey era technical Formula steel jacket. This colour way is crazy with a great shimmer finish to it. The idea was essentially to create a fabric with the visual character of metal, but the weight and movement of nylon. Formula Steel used a nylon shell bonded to a transparent polyurethane film, then exploited Stone Island’s dyeing/finishing know-how to produce that strange shimmering, steel-like surface.
