The core design inspiration behind these vintage Stone Island shorts comes directly from maritime workwear and historical military utility gear—a signature hallmark pioneered by the brand's legendary original designer, Massimo Osti. Paul Harvey who took over Stone Island after Osti’s departure in 94. Harvey kept the legacy going of experimental and engineering garments with his own clean utilitarian aesthetic’s. Giving the garments clean, basic cuts and designs whilst still giving the experimental elements that Osti mastered.
