Founder Massimo Osti famously used rugged materials like truck tarpaulins (Tela Stella) as the foundation for the brand's early designs. The sweater’s unique orange tone and lived-in look come from Stone Island’s signature ‘OLD’ treatment. Unlike traditional methods, they dye the finished garment, allowing the color to settle differently into seams and fabrics to create a faded, three-dimensional effect.
