Stone Island AW01 Wool Knit Sweater during the Paul Harvey era. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Stone Island's lead designer Paul Harvey heavily referenced historical military surplus. This particular mock-neck design mimics the thick, heavy-ribbed wool undershirts issued to twentieth-century naval crew and alpine troops to insulate the neck without the bulk of a full turtleneck.
