Stone Island Spell-Out Mock Neck Sweater from the 1987, Massimo Osti era. The double-layered mock-neck collar on this sweatshirt was directly inspired by vintage naval attire, designed specifically to block harsh sea winds from hitting the neck while remaining easier to move in than a full turtleneck. The main functions of this late 80’s Stone Island sweatshirt focuses on heat retention, weather protection, and long-term durability, Osti always had technical utility in mind.
