This piece is heavily inspired by vintage military gear, specifically the design elements of World War II-era British SAS and Royal Navy anti-gas protective smocks. Cabourn frequently revisits his iconic Gunner Smock pattern across different seasonal collections, translating the silhouette into various historical and custom developed camouflage prints. This specific camo print design is rooted in the hand-painted Denison brushstroke camouflage of WWII airborne troops and the late-60s Disruptive Pattern Material.
