Nigel Cabourn Lybro Gunner Smock from the SS22 Lybro collection. Inspired by smocks worn by WWII British troops. The original military pieces were oversized so soldiers could layer them over heavy wool uniforms and gear. Nigel Cabourn modified the original historic blueprint to create this specific version by focusing on multiple design element’s - something Cabourn is no stranger to doing. Instead of utilising buttons under fabric flaps like the original 1940’s garments. Cabourn integrated metal Lybro branded buttons to inject an industrial, heritage workwear aesthetic into the design.
