Nigel Cabourn Authentic Packaway Jacket from the SS19 collection. Historically, soldiers required specialised, multi-functional gear that could be stowed away quickly when it was not raining. Cabourn drew inspiration from WWII British gas capes and military ground sheets. These original combat pieces featured built-in webbed configurations and snaps, allowing soldiers to roll them tight and wear them across their backs or around their waists. It was introduced for spring and summer & it’s unpredictable weather, using a freshly engineered, ultra-lightweight cotton that allowed it to collapse down into the built-in bag.
