Nigel Cabourn 80s Ventile Parka

Nigel Cabourn Ventile Parka from the late 1980s. Inspired by WWII-era British Army and Royal Navy field jackets. The jacket is crafted from Ventile cotton, a highly dense water-repellent fabric originally engineered in the UK during World War II. It was invented to protect Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots from freezing and drowning if shot down over northern oceans. Cabourn contrasted the military silhouette by applying a vibrant pastel colour-way.
