The brand was founded in 2002 by Shinichi Haraki, a veteran of the Japanese denim industry who previously worked as a pattern maker and designer for Edwin. Haraki combined his textiexpertise with his personal passion for classic American motorcycles. He set out to build clothing specifically engineered for motorcycle riders, meaning the garments had to prioritise maximum durability, wind resistance, and protection over fleeting fashion trends.
