EVISU was founded by Hidehiko Yamane in Osaka in 1991, right in the middle of Japan’s obsession with recreating vintage American denim. It became one of the key names associated with the ‘ Osaka Five’ Japanese makers studying old American workwear and rebuilding it with obsessive attention to denim, construction and ageing.
