C.P. Company V Neck Cable Knit Sweater from the 'Ideas From Massimo Osti' 80’s era. The visual blueprints for this piece are rooted in traditional Irish Aran and British fisherman sweaters. These heavy cable-knit patterns served a highly functional purpose: the thick, raised diamond and rope twists trapped air to create pocketed layers of insulation against harsh, cold coastal elements. Osti took these traditional utilitarian garments and adapted them into sophisticated, casual sportswear for the urban Italian market.
